The Generator-Battery Hybrid Energy System is a component of the microgrid system. It adds an energy storage device to the diesel generator, being a power supply system integrating diesel generator and battery. WANON’s CMS (Comprehensive Management System) optimizes the ways battery and diesel generator operate, promptly responds to instantaneous power fluctuations and supports microgrid system frequencies, making the entire system keep running efficiently.

• Energy-storing battery as the primary power: In this mode, the battery powers the system most of the time and the diesel generator runs only when the battery needs to be charged, so that the running hours, fuel costs and maintenance expenses of the diesel generator can be significantly reduced.

• Diesel generator as the primary power: In this mode, the diesel generator is set at only the average power under load, while the energy-storing battery undertakes the excessive power. The diesel generator charges the battery at low loads, so that over-configuration of the diesel generator can be effectively prevented, project costs can be reduced, and the diesel generator can be protected from the impact of load fluctuations and keeps operating at maximum efficiency, thus effectively lowering the loss of the diesel generator and the cost of fuel.
